Actress mortgages all her properties for the upcoming film

Bollywood controversial actress Kangana Ranaut is playing Smt. Indhira Gandhi in the biographical film Emergency. Kangana is penning the story besides producing and directing the film. The film portrays the emergency period set in India during Indhira Gandhi’s regime.

The actress now took to her Instagram handle and wrote that her portions are wrapped up. She wrote that the shooting has been a tough journey for her and revealed that she mortgaged all her properties for the movie. Kangana noted her character got tested as an individual and added that she faced several problems, including getting diagnosed with dengue and alarmingly low blood cell counts.

Kangana stated that she doesn’t want people to worry necessarily about her and hence didn’t share all her issues till now. Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, and Milind Soman are playing important roles. Renu Pitti co-produced the film along with Kangana under the banner Manikarnika Films. The movie will hit screens in 2023.
